Important milestones in the firm’s history were the merger of Jürgen Zwanzig, Klaus Peter Hacke and Dr. Jörg Debelius in 1990 after each of them had already pursued their own careers as lawyers for many years, the opening of the office in Leipzig with Peter Meilke in the same year (since then “Zwanzig Hacke Meilke Debelius“) and the further growth by the partners Carsten Sewtz (1996), Joachim Hacke (2001), Dr. Rainer Meusel and Rüdiger Meusel (2002) as well as Dr. Andreas Hacke (2005).

Acting under the name Zwanzig Hacke Meilke & Partner since 2010, all the partners remain committed to the values which have always characterised the firm and its founders, namely absolute concentration on clients’ interests, the highest standards of professional quality, personal availability, determination, diligence and a passion for the interests of clients and the legal profession. All partners are always personally available to the respective clients. The aspiration and goal of all the partners is to permanently meet the expectations of a discerning clientele.

As a member of the Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers (IGAL), the firm is able to make contact quickly and efficiently with firms of lawyers, auditors and tax consultants outside Germany in all economically important countries of the world and therefore guarantee all-round legal advice for clients, even on international matters. An added bonus is that partners of the firm speak English, French, Spanish, Dutch and Russian.
